What IS it about the year, that makes January to April feel like forever, and then causes May to September to feel like an instant? It honestly seems like we arrived at August in a blink of an eye. In August, I find that people tend to fall into a two camps: those who mourn the beginning of summer’s end, and then their counterparts who wish for its rapid burnout and yearn for the faintest cool breeze of autumn! Which camp are YOU? (Justin tends to be a “SUMMERr 4-EVA” kind of guy. And NO ONE is surprised that I enjoy my cozy 50-degree nights…)

No matter your August philosophy, it’s also the start of back-to-school season! And at Cornerstone, we are definitely getting ready.

Children’s eye exams (aged 17 & under) are $65, with retinal digital imaging included (just like our adult exams!). We have a new line of fashionable teen frames from LUCKY BRAND and a fresh order of new frames from all of our beautiful, independent lines. We’ve recently introduced the brand WOOW (handmade in Italy) and are so pleased to see our patients responding to its gorgeous colors and sophisticated styles. And of course, we have fresh options in our Etnia Barcelona, MODO, Prodesign, ECO, and Anne & Valentin lines as well!

Soak up the sunshine and frolic in the longer days while we still have them. And don’t mind me…I’ll just be lovingly (creepily?) stroking my sweaters and whispering sweet-nothings into the fuzzy sleeves until their favorite season comes around.
